Water Supply and Infrastructure Grants (HB 500): Application Period Now Open

The Water Supply and Infrastructure Grant Program (HB 500)—representing more than $1 billion in funding—is now open, creating a significant opportunity for eligible local governments to advance critical water infrastructure projects. As funding priorities continue to evolve across Texas, programs like this play an important role in helping communities address both immediate needs and long-term system improvements.

While applications are due July 30, additional program details are still being released—making early evaluation and planning key. OEI is actively monitoring updates and participating in pre-application discussions to help clients understand eligibility, navigate requirements, and position projects competitively for funding.
