Darby Adams
Director of Environmental Design & Compliance
Darby is the Director of Environmental Design and Compliance for OEI. She manages projects in the South Texas area and has expertise in state and federal water and wastewater system compliance, public funding, and “green projects”, such as wastewater reuse. She brings passion and professionalism to any project she works on and believes in utilizing a realistic approach to environmental issues. Darby is a graduate of Texas Tech University, where she earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Environmental Engineering and her minor in Civil Engineering.
She is also a lifetime member of Chi Epsilon, the Civil Engineering Honor Society, and even served as the President of the Texas Tech Chapter. Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, water has been a big part of her life since childhood. She grew up fishing at Mustang Island and going on beach camping trips with her family at the Texas National Seashore. In her free time now, she enjoys talking to high school students about careers in engineering; playing with her four dogs and four cats; cooking at home for friends and family; and trying new food places across Texas.
