Sharvette brings more than 20 years of combined technical and administrative experience spanning public infrastructure, airfield engineering, and operational leadership. She has developed a strong reputation for bridging technical execution with strategic oversight, ensuring that complex projects are delivered efficiently, sustainably, and in alignment with regulatory and community goals.
From 2022 to 2024, Sharvette served as Project Engineer on the Runway 5R-23L & Taxiway D Strengthening and Capacity Enhancement Project at Indianapolis International Airport (IND)—the first airfield project in the world to receive Envision Platinum certification for sustainability and resiliency. In this role, she managed documentation, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder coordination, while supporting the integration of renewable energy systems and innovative FAA-approved concrete technologies. Earlier in her career, she focused on project administration and process optimization, building a versatile foundation that continues to inform her work today.

Indianapolis International Airport (IND), 2022–2024Led project documentation and regulatory coordination for a full reconstruction of runway and taxiway pavement, including upgraded lighting, signage, and drainage.
Supported the integration of renewable energy systems, including a large solar PV array and battery storage.
Contributed to the use of an innovative FAA-approved concrete mix design with carbon sequestration technology, reducing embodied carbon and advancing industry sustainability benchmarks.
Helped deliver a project with significant economic impact through job creation, workforce development, and local business participation.

Sharvette’s dedication to leadership and service extends beyond her professional work. While at Southern University and A&M College, she was a founding member of Omega Tau Pi, a social service sorority established in 1994. This experience laid the foundation for her ongoing commitment to mentorship, collaboration, and community upliftthroughout her career.

Outside of work, Sharvette enjoys traveling, spending quality time with her children, grandchildren, and extended family, and nurturing her fur babies and plant babies. A creative at heart, she loves rehabbing and restoring furniture, bringing new life to old pieces through craftsmanship and design.
