Water Resource Project Engineer (EIT)

  • We are looking for a driven Engineer-In-Training (EIT) to help our clients with their water resource project needs. You’ll dive into designing, modeling and master planning for public clients, and work to develop technical solutions for challenging public works designs to service our communities, bringing technical know-how, a collaborative spirit, and a knack for building strong relationships.


  • • Serve as project engineer for water/sewer distribution/collection system piping, pump stations, and treatment plant projects

    • Support the production for H&H analysis and preparation of technical reports for diverse projects including open channels, closed conduit systems, drainage master planning and CIPs, detention/retention ponds, mitigation of drainage impacts, and regional flood planning.

    • Support multi-discipline teams of engineers, GIS analysts, CAD staff, sub-consultants, etc. Coordinate assigned work to ensure continuity, consistency, and quality.

    • Ability to work independently as well as with a small design team

    • Maintain effective communication with clients, clients’ staff, regulatory agencies, manufacturers and within project teams

    • Participate in business development activities including engineering scope and fee preparation, proposal preparation, and marketing activities.  Also, interaction and a commitment to client service for both internal and external clients

  • • 3+ years of experience including work requiring independent evaluation, selection, and application of standard engineering techniques. 

    • Master’s degree may substitute for 1 year of experience.

    • Engineer-In-Training License.

    • Experience with software such as: AutoCAD, Water and SewerGEMS, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, ArcGIS, and the Microsoft office suite.

    • Must be prepared to undertake independent action.

    • B.S. degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or relevant field required.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
